Courses

Allendale Bakery’s  first series of bakery courses, for the four  Tuesdays of November, 2009, were a remarkable success, with a baker’s dozen enthusiasts eagerly learning how to go about making bread, or learning how to make it better!

Demand for a repeat set of course has been running high, and so we are delighted to offer another series of Tuesday workshops, utilising all the Tuesdays that March has available.  Look out for the ad coming soon in the Hexham Courant, but the courses will be as follows:

  • Tuesday 2nd March:  Breadmaking for Beginners
  • Tuesday 9th March:  Making Real Bread
  • Tuesday 16th March:  Fancy Breads
  • Tuesday 23rd March:  Breads for Special Occasions
  • Tuesday 30th March:  Sourdough Techniques

Booking, which is strictly limited to six participants per course, can be facilitated by email (info@AllendaleBakery.com), telephone (01434 618879) or in person at the bakery.   The cost for an individual course, which includes the bread you will bake, as well as morning tea, lunch, and afternoon coffee, is £75 per person.   This fee reduces to £60 per course if more than one session is booked at the same time.  You may download a booking form here:

Allendale Bakery will be promoting these courses through the Real Bread Campaign, as well as in local advertising, and initial responses are enthusiastic, so if you would like a place on any of the 5 days, be sure to make your enquiry sooner rather than later.
