In addition to our wonderful Classic Loaves (see below) and specialist products (see below), Allendale Bakery creates exciting artisan bread in a delicious variety of shapes and sizes.

Naturally, we also are delighted to provide our special 50% Whole Wheat and 100% Stoneground Whole Wheat bread in an artisan cob version.
Our Beer Bread is incredibly popular, using as it does real ale direct from our neighbours the prize-winning Allendale Brewery!
We’ve been baking our special 3 Grain Rye bread for years now, but our hand-moulded loaves are still a delight to behold, and the taste is like nothing else!
People are delighted to find that Allendale Bakery creates special bread using the traditional sourdough method, and this process delivers exciting flavours bursting out of our wholesome bread that other bakeries simply cannot reproduce.
Our Focaccia bread is a real joy on your palate, sprinkled with coarse crystal sea salt and harmonised with drenchings of olive oil.
Allendale Bakery also produces wonderful cobs with special ingredients, like our classic black olive cob, or our sun-dried tomato and basil cob, or our newest addition to the family, our wonderful sweet pepper and pesto cob.
All of our breads can be specially ordered, or you can just drop in to the bakery and see what we’ve produced on the day!
Allendale Bakery is creating wonderful breads! Our Classic Range is second to none, and our lovely loaves are always available at the Allendale Co-operative Society. Do check out our offerings there, in handy 400g sizes that are sliceable for perfect sandwiches bursting with home-grown flavour.
By popular demand, Allendale Bakery also produce a wonderful Beer Bread loaf in the 400g size, to satisfy the cravings of our customers who can’t quite get enough of that wonderful Allendale Ale flavour!
In addition to our wonderful breads, Allendale Bakery creates scintillating special products to meet the demands of our discerning clientele. We’re always trying to create brilliant baked goods, so if you have an idea of something you’d like to experience, let us know!

Our Cheese Scones are just that quintessential sort of golden nugget that melts in your mouth and satisfies your longings for quality food.
Every Easter, for at least the last three years, Carrie our master baker has been baking her very special Hot Cross Buns. Filled to bursting with fruits, mixed peel and delicious flavours, these are the real article. We know you can get half a dozen ersatz ‘hot cross buns’ from your local supermarket for less than you’d pay for one of our buns. We don’t care — there is scarcely a shred of comparison between the two items. We’re justly proud of our offering, and the proof is in the eating; our production runs invariably sell out within minutes of reaching the cooling rack!
Additionally, of course, Allendale Bakery produces a variety of delicious and ultra-exciting biscuits, crunchies and cookies, like our Apricot & Hazelnut Crunchies, our White Chocolate and Brazil Nut Crunchies, our fabulous Ginger Nuts, or our amazing Oat & Cashew Cookies.
Every Saturday, Allendale Bakery features our amazing Cake Range, including the sinfully extreme Chocolate Chocolate, the finest Carrot, the fantastic Orange & Almond, the deliciously decadent Strawberry Cream Sponge. They’re all superb examples of baking craftsmanship at its finest.
